Develop Your Car Fragrance Product Range

Launching a car fragrance line is more than putting a logo on a stock item. The format has to suit your channel, the scent has to feel like your brand, the pack has to sell on its own, and the tenth order has to match the first. As a private label car air freshener manufacturer, Coman works with brands through all of it: format selection, fragrance, product details, packaging, samples, production and repeat supply.

  • Private label, OEM and ODM
  • Scent, product and pack planned together
  • Approved sample for every SKU

Three development routes

Choose how far each product goes

Most private label projects use more than one route. A typical line puts a brand label on a proven vent clip, adjusts the color and cap of a hanging diffuser, and develops one signature shape from scratch. We confirm the route for each item before quoting, so you can see where tooling, development or sampling costs come from.

Product, scent and pack

Three parts, one decision

The three parts affect each other, so we plan them together.

  • The scent depends on the carrier

A fresh citrus that sparkles on paper can fade quickly in a hot vent. We evaluate each fragrance on the format it will be sold in and adjust the dosage or formula where needed.

  • The pack depends on the product

Scented paper needs a barrier pouch. Glass bottles need tight closures and protective inserts. Vent clips sell better in a window pack that shows the face.

  • The product depends on the price

If your retail price is fixed, we work backwards to a format, finish and pack that leaves room for your margin.

Control and ownership

Your range stays yours, order after order

Approved samples and change control

The approved sample is the reference for every production run. We keep a sealed or recorded set of it, with the specification sheet listing materials, fragrance reference, color references, print files and packaging version.

A new scent, a revised pack or a different cord color becomes a new version: we sample it, you approve it, and the version number changes. If a component or material change is needed on our side, we inform you before production.

Costs, ownership and confidentiality

  • Itemized costs. Unit price, tooling or dies, sample costs and packaging development shown separately.
  • Tooling and artwork. Ownership of new or modified tooling is set out in writing before development starts.
  • Confidentiality. Designs, brand plans and fragrance briefs stay confidential. We sign NDAs on request.
  • Exclusivity. Your logo, artwork and pack design are used only for your brand, and the custom colors, front plates and new designs we develop for you stay exclusive to you.
Who owns tooling and artwork?

Keeping repeat production consistent

  • Model, fragrance reference, color references and pack version recorded for every SKU.
  • Production checked against the approved sample, including fragrance match, print color and fill.
  • Matching refills kept available; changes planned with you in advance.
  • Reorder forecasts around your sales cycle and seasonal peaks.

Quality and documents

Quality checks follow the product structure: print against proof, fill and seal integrity, clip and closure function, fragrance match and correct packing. For each approved product we provide the relevant fragrance and product documents, matched to the specific formula and SKU.

Private label FAQ

Private label questions

Can I start with one product and grow the range later?

Yes. Many brands launch with one or two formats in three to five scents, then add refills, a premium format or a gift set. Planning the scent story and pack system from the start makes later additions easier.

Can you match a scent from our existing products?

We can brief a fragrance that matches the direction of your signature scent. Send a sample of your existing product; we will evaluate it on the car format and propose options.

Do I need my own packaging design?

No. You can supply finished artwork, or send your logo and brand guidelines and we will prepare pack layouts for approval.

What MOQ applies to private label orders?

We quote MOQ per model, per scent and per pack version, so you can see exactly where each minimum sits. Branding an existing model is the lowest-minimum route, and we show you how to combine scents and packs efficiently.

Will you show our products to other customers?

No. Products made for your brand are not displayed or sold to others without your permission.

How do you handle a new scent for an existing product?

It becomes a new version: we produce samples on the same product, you approve them, and we add the new fragrance reference to the specification.
