Sourcing & Private Label

MOQ can apply per model, scent, color, printed design and packaging type, and the one that matters depends on your order. Ask how minimums combine, and use shared parts and mixed orders to keep a first order compact.

Private label, OEM and ODM mean different things to different people. What matters is who is responsible for design, scent, tooling, packaging and documents, so agree a responsibility table before the project starts.

A private label brand takes proven products and makes them yours with your scents, branding and packaging. Move from brief to specification, approved samples and a first order, then build profit through reorders.

Compare quotes by first making the specifications equal, then reading quantities and costs on the same basis, then checking where each supplier’s responsibility ends. The best value is clear once all three line up.

Samples are the cheapest stage to find problems. Check each component, compare scents fairly in the same conditions, test the agreed points, and turn feedback into a clearly approved reference sample.

A complete RFQ gets an accurate price in one round. Include the product, scents, branding, packaging, quantities per version, market and documents, delivery terms and attachments, and say clearly what is still open.

Choose a supplier by mapping who makes each part of your product, checking category fit, and verifying evidence such as samples, documents and references. Score every supplier on the same sheet so the comparison is fair.

Sourcing from China works best in order: define the product and market, shortlist suppliers, sample, agree terms, approve pre-production, inspect, ship and reorder. Each stage builds on the one before it.
